On Nov. 4, high school culinary students from Chicago Public Schools competed in Healthy Schools Campaign's Cooking up Change healthy cooking contest. Students created healthy school meals on a tight budget and healthy cookies in hopes of winning the audience choice award and school lunch award. Richards Career Academy students won first place in the school lunch category and will take their healthy lunch to Washington, DC in spring 2011. Congratulations to all the student chefs and many thanks to the wonderful sponsors, host committee members and guests. Together we are Cooking up Change!

4 persons

around 750g white asparagus
7? vegetable bouillon.
Salt and pepper
2 dl cream (9% - I used 38% cause I had some in the fridge)
150g shrimps or crayfish-tails.

Trim
Parsley
Some green asparagus

Peel the asparagus and boil them in around 10 minutes - dependent on their thickness - until they are tender. Blend the soup finely and taste it with salt and pepper. Warm the soup up again,take it of the cooking range and add the cream and trim with parsley, the green asparagus and the fish.
